BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
Blue Cross has launched 12-week week campaign aimed at getting you healthy or keep you that way.
The cornerstone of the effort is an online Personal Health Assessment. The PHA is an online health questionnaire that takes about 15 minutes to complete. Anyone who completes it receives a confidential 12-page report on his or her health status and potential health risks, plus some ideas on how to address them. Blue Cross customers have access to additional resources.
To support the new ad campaign and encourage more people to take the PHA, Blue Cross is sponsoring a prize drawing through Friday, Sept. 30. The company is giving away an Apple iPod shuffle each day to a random winner, as well as a grand prize Xbox Kinect bundle to a random winner at the end of the contest period.
Customers of Blue Cross or its subsidiary, HMO Louisiana, can log in to their online accounts at www.bcbsla.com to take the PHA. Any non-customers can access the PHA through the insurer's free Louisiana 2 Step program, which was launched in 2007 to motivate everyone in Louisiana to eat right and move more.
