Three Amish men accused of cutting off the beards and hair of Amish men and women, went before a Jefferson County Court Judge Tuesday. Levi Miller, 53; Johnny Mullet, 38; and Lester Mullet, 26, all waived extradition to Holmes County. They are charged with kidnapping and aggravated burglary. Miller, Mullet and Mullet - are all part of the "Bergholz Clan".More >>

HOLMES COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

Two more Amish men have been arrested in violent beard and hair cutting attacks.

The Holmes County Sheriff says 32-year-old Eli Miller and 37-year-old Daniel Mullet turned themselves in on Wednesday, and are charged with kidnapping and aggravated burglary.

A total of five Amish men have been charged in the hair-raising attacks.

Attacks against Amish have been reported in Holmes, Trumbull and Carroll Counties.

Jefferson County Ohio Sheriff Fred Abdalla believes Amish Bishop Sam Mullet ordered the violent hair cuts. The attacks are meant to humiliate and punish the people Mullet does not believe are faithful enough.
