BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
There are conflicting reports about the status of three LSU football players and whether their suspensions will be lifted in time to play against Alabama.
According to a CBS Sportsline report, cornerback Tyrann Mathieu, running back Spencer Ware and cornerback Tharold Simon will be reinstated Tuesday after serving a one-game suspension.
However, President Michael Martin told the USA Today the players must first "get their act together" before being reinstated to the team. Martin said the decision is up to athletic director Joe Alleva, who did not immediately respond Monday to a text message on the matter.

Mathieu, Ware and Simon were suspended on Oct. 19 for violating team rules. Reports surfaced not long after the announcement that the players failed drug tests reportedly.
Later, ESPN reported an LSU official familiar with the situation confirmed the players tested positive for synthetic marijuana in a school-administered drug test.
Head coach Les Miles has not provided much information about it. He did not name players in a news conference following the announcement of the suspensions or say how long the suspensions would last.
They missed Saturday's game against Auburn, but LSU had no trouble beating that team handedly in a 45-10 romp. The Tigers are off this week and face the No. 2 Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa, AL on Nov. 5.
So far this season, Mathieu has forced four fumbles, recovering three and returning two for scores. He also has two interceptions and 42 tackles, including 1.5 sacks.
Nicknamed the "Honey Badger," Mathieu had been frequently mentioned as a possible Heisman contender.
Before the suspension, Ware was the leading rusher for the unbeaten Tigers with 512 yards and six touchdowns.
However, running back is a deep position on the team and several different players have carried the load in the backfield.
Simon has one interception and 29 tackles.
