LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -
Fifteen-year-old Hannah Pauley committed suicide on October
25 after what her father said was because of bullying.
Len Pauley, Hannah's father, said a majority of the bullying
toward Hannah was by students from Barbe High School, resulting in Hannah transferring
to St. Louis High School.
"She would come home a lot and say people would call her and
say things and have text messages," he said. "Just some nasty words." Len said
it was constant and Hannah endured plenty.
He said if he would have known that the bullying would have
lead to Hannah's suicide, he would have stepped in and got her the help she
needed.
"She was outgoing, very talented, very athletic and an
absolutely beautiful girl," Len said. "[She] loved her church and had God in
her life."
Currently the case is under investigation by Calcasieu
Parish Sheriff's Office.
"I don't ever want another parent to have to walk in my shoes,"
he said. "I wish kids could understand that there are other outs. There are
other ways to handle this."
The funeral was held on Sunday, October 30 and more than 2,000
friends and family members went.
"She was my world. She meant everything to me," Hannah's
father said. "She was loved."
