LSU head football coach Les Miles met with the media for an extended period of time Friday afternoon, fielding over 50 questions as his Tigers prepare for their BCS National Championship rematch with Alabama.
Miles shared that the players voted on five captains for the epic contest with the Tide - Mo Claiborne, Brandon Taylor, Tyrann Mathieu, Will Blackwell and Jordan Jefferson. The coach also pointed out he's proud of the Tigers who graduated from LSU Friday, such as T-Bob Hebert, Drew Alleman and Joey Crappell.
Miles also stated that there will be no academic casualties for the BCS Championship and that he's not sure LSU has ever suffered any during his seven-year tenure with the Tigers. There have been numerous reports that senior quarterback Jarrett Lee was facing academic difficulty, but apparently he will be available to play if needed.
Coach Miles also says he looks forward to doing some Christmas shopping with his family and enjoying the holidays.
