Some Baton Rouge apartment complex residents took their frustrations to the street.
A handful of people marched outside the Hawthorne Heights apartments protesting the complex's management. They claim management won't give them credit for paying January's rent even though most of them have receipts.
Several say they've come home to eviction notices on their front doors. That's what happened to Joe Paul's daughter.
"They had a lady working there. Some kind of way she quit, took the money...money order, whatever. They want her to be responsible for January when she paid the lady for January," said Paul. "Don't make them pay for what somebody else done took from you."
Paul's daughter is moving out of the Hawthorne Heights, but her neighbors who aren't want answers. When we called management, they told us that no one was available for comment.
